Hi, I’m Blake and I’d love to

be your celebrant.

While I’m new to the celebrant industry, I bring a wealth of life experience, people skills, and positive energy to every ceremony I’m part of. I’m genuinely excited to be stepping into this space, and even more excited to help you celebrate your love story. Getting married recently (and having to do ALL the planning myself) I know what couples want and the importance of working with a celebrant you can connect with.

I grew up in New Plymouth, where my wonderful family still lives. After finishing school, I studied at the Pacific International Hotel Management School, where I gained world-class hospitality training, also spending a year in Australia working as a butler where I met many couples at the resort who were there to get married. This experience taught me the value of professionalism, presentation, and exceptional service skills in a five star setting.

From there, I worked for an international airline as a flight attendant and inflight manager. This role fine tuned my time management and communication skills, and gave me the chance to connect with people from all walks of life.

When the pandemic arrived, I pivoted into primary teaching, a profession I absolutely love and still work in today. Working in education has strengthened my ability to adapt, stay organised, and bring calm and joy to big moments (a handy skill in weddings too!).

Outside of work, you’ll often find me outdoors exploring with friends and family, walking Little Louie, the Cavoodle boss of the house and getting creative through art, theatre, and painting and most recently, sewing. I love finding beauty in the small details, which shows up in how I approach every wedding.
